Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and Vietnam Railways (VNR) will strengthen cooperation in investment and business activities in the future.  

With the business motto of "Safety - Friendly - Convinient - Punctuality - Effect" and the principle of operation "All for customers", Vietnam Railways constantly improve the quality of equipment and services to bring the customers comfort because "the customers' satisfaction is the measure of success".

The Executive Board and 87th General Assembly of the International Union of Railways (UIC) were held on 1 December in Paris, in connection with the “Train to Paris” international campaign coordinated by UIC before the opening of the United Nations’ COP 21 Climate Change Conference in Paris.

After completing the training course for advanced users of the IVU.rail software, OBU (On board unit) devices are being installed on 392 existing locomotives in 5 Locomotive Factory: Hanoi, Yen Vien,  Vinh, Da Nang and Saigon.

On September 28th, 2015, Vietnam Railways and Hanoi Telecom signed a memorandum of cooperation to develop online utility services called Railway Box. 

Vietnam Railways Innovation Award 2014 was held on September 22nd, 2015. This award attracted many employees. All the topics under four majors: Rolling stock, Infrastructures, Signal telecommunication and Information Technology.

On September 21st 2015, the Vietnam Railways worked with National Standard Finance from USA. National Standard Finance (NSF) is a leading progressive institution in Foreign Direct Investment and Private Structured Debt solutions across the developed, emerging and frontier markets including Africa, Asia, Europe, India, Middle East and Latin America. 

After a period of positive negotiation and get the approval of the Ministry of Transport, Vietnam Railways and IndoTran (ITL) held the signing ceremony of socialization investment Railways Logistics Center - Yen Vien Station (Hanoi) on September 16th, 2015.
